Neston

Neston has always retained its importance as a town despite its changing fortunes as a Medieval agricultural settlement, 17th century port, mining village and market town.

Until well into the last century, Neston was the most significant settlement in the area.

Bordering on the River Dee, Neston is a great vantage point for the surrounding salt marshes - idea position for birdwatchers.

Ideal feeding places for duck, wild geese and sea birds - popular with naturalists.

Today the weekly market and monthly farmers market draws shoppers from the surrounding areas.
